Last night, I was hanging out with a few of my girlfriends (hi Emily and Arielei! It was fun!) and we were staring around my kitchen trying to decide what color I should paint it. The colors on my mind are gray, teal, and red. But I don't want the walls to be too dark or saturated. Also, my cabinets are the most boring, plain, white boards of cabinets you have ever seen. I sort of like the idea of sprucing up my cabinets in some way, and wall decals are one of my ideas:
Something like these, making a field of poppies across my kitchen cabinets...
But then I noticed this trend of painting your cabinets in bright colors. Since we rent, this is not an option, but I think its an interesting idea....What do you think?

I also really like this image. The creamy white with just the insides of a few cabinets painted in deep, saturated teal. I like this kitchen a lot!

ReplyDeleteI love the idea of decorating your kitchen with poppies! That wall are would look really cute. I have been thinking lately how much I love those wall decals, but I didn't know where to find any that matched my theme. I did not even think to look at Etsy! Thanks for the link!!!
