Dining Rooms: Go bold or go home

My dining room is pretty bland at the moment. I am in desperate need of a rug to go under the table and protect the ugly rental carpet from food spills, and also just to liven it up in general. I'm also in need of a few more chairs, because four will set Phillip and I, but never my whole family. I'm seriously considering going bold in the dining room, at least with rugs, chairs, or curtains.
Should I? Would you?
Oh, also. I desperately need a flyswatter. IKEA trip, anyone?

  1. Hmmm, didn't see anything I really liked, but I tend to go pretty soft in colors. :)

We just finished painting my Nana's living room and her bedroom. We did one wall in her living room a deep rust color (really bold, but pretty) and the other walls a really light rust color (really light!) It turned out really nice.
Her bedroom she did green. Dark green on one wall and a lighter green on the others. I hope to get pictures up as it turned out really nice.

Yes, I would do something in your Dining room. Have you tried craigslist for chairs? Can't wait to see what you do!

  2. Sorry, that didn't sound very nice saying "I didn't see anything I wouldn't do". I did like them, but I am more of a soft color girl. Sarah would fit right in with your house! I hope you know what I mean.... I do enjoy following your blog and seeing neat ideas to decorate a home with!
