Something about the balance and contrast of this room makes me feel completely at peace. The white walls and dark, dark table. The gorgeous collection of useless, shadeless gold lamps balanced by a perfect stack of books. The traditional artwork and frames arranged in a very untraditional way. This room is calming perfection, don't you think?
I do like the dark/ white contrast but the lamps make this room not peaceful for me. It looks like a tacky yard sale on that side... Just my opinion.
ReplyDeletethe picture frames kind of annoy me...something about it looks wrong. It would kill me to have that in my house...I would constantly be bothered by the fact that they weren't normal...but I do think the dark table and white chairs are interesting....sorry, I guess this is only zen for you, sis
ReplyDeleteHaha Ok I can fully appreciate the criticisms...truthfully, this room is way too minimalist for me to ever live there, anyway. But I still like the image. Besides, this blog is all about me, right? I'll try to find some Zen Wednesday images that are more crowd pleasing next time...;)
