My house is only one story, and sometimes I dream about what it would be like to have a beautiful staircase to decorate and climb. Of course, right now I don't have to lug laundry up and down or worry about my sister's babies climbing up and falling off. But really, aren't these staircases beautiful?
Of course, an added benefit to stairs is the extra excercise involved...Do you prefer houses with only one story or those with more stories?
gasp...sigh...gasp...no that was my envy factor, not me imagining lugging laundry up and down that staircase...ok, well now I am imagining lugging laundry up and down those stairs, and that makes me gasp but in an entirely different way.
